How to handle a Live CD?
First of all, I am from Holland, so I hope my Englisg will be good enough.
I stpped working (nearly 64 years old) and want to know something more about Linux systems. I have still a old PC with AMD Athlon 1130 and 128Mb memory. So I have downloaded several light Linux clones.
One of them is TinyMe-Acorn-RC-2010.08.20.i586.iso.
I have burned a CD and after booting I see a menu with the choices Unity Linux Live, Video Safe Vesa, safe boot, Copy to ram, Media check, Memory test.
Only the choice Video Safe Vesa shows after a long time a Gui screen with some icons and yes then I can startup Internet for example.
But I cannot find anything about this menu and what these choices mean. I know Memory test, I use it this as memtest86 many times to check memory banks.
Can anyone tell me what to do now and explane what I can do with this menu choices? In many cases I get a login. Then there something strange. When I try to enter root as login name, I get total other characters. It seems that my keyboard is not recognised as English International (QWERTY).
