Sound Issue Gateway M250 and TinyMe
This is a detailed sound issue...sound either works with pops and clicks or it doesn't work at all no matter how I configure things. Allow me to explain.
I installed TinyMe RC2010.08.20 and on first boot, I went into alsamixer to check volumes...adjusted them...and turned off the external amplifier (this laptop needs that to happen). Sound worked! But it had pops and clicks and static when turning on to be used and when turnning off after use...annoying, but liveable. This morning when I booted up, I once again went into alsamixer and turned off the external amplifier (alsactl hasn't stored it on any of the 5 distros I've tried) and then tested to see if sound is up...however, it's dead in the water. So I have no sound. Sound info is as follows: Code: [devnet@localhost ~]$ lsmod|grep sndCode: [devnet@localhost ~]$ lspci | grep IntelIf you need further info, please let me know and please point me in the right direction. |

Have you tried setting this up via draksound? Is PulseAudio enabled?
Please check the Release Announcement before reporting any issues! Please read the Usage Rules before posting! Check out the FAQ!

RE: Sound Issue Gateway M250 and TinyMe
I switched drivers in draksound and then had to mute the external amplifier in alsamixer.
I have to do this each and every time though...it won't store with alsactl. Then there are pops and clicks when sound is enabled and disabled...which is GREAT
