CD hangs at probing SCSI devices
I'd like to install TinyMe Linux to my hard drive. The only way I was able to try it from the live CD was to choose the Safe Boot. The other two methods of booting listed at the top of the menu didn't seem to work. It stalled at Probing SCSI devices. I do have a SCSI device in the machine, it's an Adaptec AHA-2940 SCSI card that runs my Plextor CD-R. I also have several SATA devices and hook ups for IDE drives as well. My hard drives (SATA and IDE) are all removable/hot-swappable.

Is there a way to install to one of my SATA hard drives without having it hang like it does from the CD?

I really like the looks of the distribution and I think many of the software choices are great. (Although, I miss SciTE which I use for document editing in place of Abiword or Open Office.) Would be great if I could get TinyMe working on my machine, but not sure how I would need to fix the setup/tweak the installation to get my hardware to work properly.

Any help appreciated. Thanks.

RE: CD hangs at probing SCSI devices
Sorry, I don't have any help for the SCSI/SATA issue.

SciTE can be installed, or you can use MEdit.
