A big HELLO from a French frog!
First, sorry for my English wrintig Confused...

Having tested the last Zenwalk, PuppyLinux and Slitaz versions on an "old" TravelMate 220, I am discovering this little marvel (ie. very numerous tries, keyboard Dvorak problem, starting up on external screen, Vesa noscsi edd=off, etc.), I am astonished Lub by the graphic quality and the speed of this distribution which has everything from of a big one's!

I still have a problem of flickering not resolved (chip Intel 82830 management with two screens?) and I would like to use only the internal screen if possible...

Have you an advice for the installation of well optimized packages?

In advance, thank you Happy!

Sorry, I'm not familiar with multi-screen setups. As for which packages to install, that depends on what you want.

RE: A big HELLO from a French frog!
Hi!

As I told you, my English writing is not perfect...

Booting on an external screen was the only way I found for this portable, but after an "Upgrade All" I was able to boot directly on the internal screen.

By the way, which channels are the best to select for this distribution (ie. large Unity sources)?

Thanks again,

P.S.: How to setup correctly VLC?

RE: A big HELLO from a French frog!
First, install smart-channels-plf. Then hit the refresh button (on the far left on the toolbar). Then install vlc-plugin-pulse and libdvdcss2.

He certainly seems to be experimenting and testing with a lot of versions and seems to be having a lot of fun too! I haven’t got much of an experience on the installation of optimized packages though I would love to learn about them! I am sure someone will come and tell us something about it!!
