firefox rc1
hi all,
i have all installed that i normally use except firefox. sorry but ive used firefox for yrs and old habits die hard.
using smart package manager, trying to install firefox i get a popup window thats says 'no package provides indexhtml'.
how can i fix this so i can d/l firefox?

I think you probably need to click Smart's refresh button again.

hi kdulcimer,
i have done that several times and also marked all for updates and have rebooted several times but still the same message;-)
firefox is listed but after right clicking firefox amd clicking on install i get the same message.

Could you please press F12 to drop down a terminal, run 'smart channel --show', select the output, and paste it here?

alright, here it is....i think.
couldnt find the 'output' and medoria (sp. im sorry) would not allow me to login here so i had to save it to abi word, then save it to a flash drive, and then switch to ubuntu and bring it up in gedit. well that brought up all the html so i had to backspace all that off the 'log' and then post it. whew!!
now that i look at it im not sure this is exactly what you needed..sorry

In Smart, go to Edit--> channel and enable the branded channel. Refresh and install. DO NOT UPGRADE the system with the branded channel enabled! Disable it when done.

hi KDulcimer,
thank you for your help and time;-).
all is working fine.....except it keeps putting my monitor to sleep after 15 mins. just kind of annoying but other than that no complaints from me;-DD.
