Hi everyone,
This post is just to say hello from France to TinyMe users and creators... I own some (very) old PCs and I'm looking for Linux distros to keep them work, as juste as they can do! For my oldies (one am386DX40 / 32MB RAM / 3.2GB SCSI-2 HDD and one i486DX2-66 / 64MB RAM / 4.55 GB SCSI-3 HDD) I now know that I have to look for old distros but generally with SCSI issues (the only one that really works is an old RedHat 5.2 "download edition"). But for some other of my PCs (Pentium MMX based or K6-II based), TinyMe seems to be one of the most interesting distro: I did a first try some months ago with the 2008.0 release on a p166MMX @200MHz / 128 EDO RAM / 4.3 ATA HDD and it worked fine! So, I will now try the new 2010 release, even if it is still beta state... Regards and see you next ...Johan |

RE: Hello world!
Welcome JohanPirlouit,
Sorry to have missed your post. Please let us know how you got on and any bugs you can come across. Those sound like the smallest systems that could run tinyme so this is definitely interesting. |
