remaster of TMb2 stops at boot prompt.
I made a remaster of the latest tinyme the other night and instead of booting as usual I get a boot prompt. I can enter a cheat-code and it will launch and install as usual. Don't know if this is a bug or just on my machine. This has happened on two separate remasters though. I'm going to try it with debug splash=0 and write down the output as gettinther suggested and should have more info shortly. Just posting this in case anyone else runs across a similar issue.

(edit) okay, here goes. Doesn't make a bit of sense to me, but maybe it will to someone else.

Kernel panic - not syncing: No init found. Try passing init= option to kernel.

hopes this makes sense to someone, if not sorry for wasting space/time.

                                                                      Later!

Re: remaster of TMb2 stops at boot prompt.
OK,

Your issue is that when the cd boots, it fails to find isolinux.  This is before the real deal starts.  Could you re-install the following packages:

mklivecd
tinyme-gfxboot-theme  (or unity-gfxboot-theme, not sure which one)
bootsplash
bootloader-utils

basically I think your /boot/gfxmenu might be corrupted.

Re: remaster of TMb2 stops at boot prompt.
Thanks gettinther. That seems rather easy and straight-forward. Will give this a try now and let you know how it goes!

Edit 1/22/10 :Well, unfortunately it didn't work. Reinstalled everything except tinyme-2010-gfxboot-theme as it wasn't available for reinstallation. I think I may try building again from the original TMb2 iso and seeing if this happens again. I will keep my remaster just in case anyone has more ideas on how to fix this problem.

Re: remaster of TMb2 stops at boot prompt.
when you open the livecd (after burning it on a cd or dvd), there should be a few files accessible once the cdrom is mounted. Check the 2 below.

isolinux/isolinux.cfg (that's your boot menu entries, open it with a text editor to see if it is corrupted)
isolinux/isolinux.bin (that's the binary) check the byte count and that it matches the one on the tinyme livecd (mine is 14336 bytes).

I think we can leave the gfxboot files aside since you get graphics.
