Re: TinyMe-2010-Beta-1 WIFI
Hey Paul, sorry to be getting back to you very late on this one. The zd1211 drivers are not compiling into the kernel correctly and are causing TinyMe to delay when booting. Sorry, I don't have a solution for you on this one other than ndiswrapper.

Re: TinyMe-2010-Beta-1 WIFI
No problem KD.  I have the DM problem with Beta2 on that laptop anyway.  I will have to wait until that is fixed on the next release.

The good news is that Beta2 works great on my Toshiba Satelite.  Very fast and smooth.  Can't wait to install the final release!

I know that you have many priorities so I will wait patiently.

Don't forget to give yourself a break every now and then!

Times like this that I wish that I stayed with programming when in college so that I could lend a hand.

And actually, I'm just now seeing a new zd1211 package in the repos. We'll see if this one works.

Re: TinyMe-2010-Beta-1 WIFI
Actually, since I don't have this hardware, could you try installing this driver and let me know how/if it works? Also, please make sure you are using the 2.6.31.9 legacy kernel when testing.

Re: TinyMe-2010-Beta-1 WIFI
Loaded Beta 2, updated, installed zd1211 as well as zd1211 hardware and it works just fine.

Re: TinyMe-2010-Beta-1 WIFI
You got the old zd1211 package. Run this as root:

smart install http://distro.ibiblio.org/pub/linux/dist...0.i586.rpm

Usually my system will freeze after I try to use the Belkin so I wanted to post the log before I tried again.

One thing is that the ZD1211-firmware file is not in the link you sent.  At the time of this log I did not install it yet.

I?l keep plugging away.

Well how about that, coming to you via Belkin USB wireless.

Unfortunately my system froze again.
