kernel image at boot:
Hi,

I am trying the Acorn-Alpha-2.i686.iso on a Dell D400. I got

gfxboot:
boot:

showing on the console, what should I enter at the prompt? I tried tinyme etc. and just got "could not find kernel image: xxxxx"

Thanks for help.

Re: kernel image at boot:
OK I followed the steps in the thread by j_75080, the boot past a few stages, and ended up with

Probing SCSI devices: Segmentation fault

Any hints?

As said the laptop is a Dell D400, with XP installed.

Cheers,

Re: kernel image at boot:
I have fixed the mklivecd to use the new drakxtools properly.  This should cure most ailing with hardware detection.  You will have to wait for the next test release though to see the effects.
