How to update Opera in TinyMe 2008 Acorn
Hi
I love TinyMe 2008 Acorn for older machines and my only question is about Opera 9.27 which is installed with it ? Do I really need to be thinking about how to update it to 9.64 or 10 ? My only reason would be for security or functionality, especially for other people that I recommend TinyMe to ? Given that TinyMe avoids the virus and firewall issues, how insecure is using Opera 9.27, or is it an almost negligible concern. I'd like to rest in the knowledge that my TinyMe 2008 Acorn is reasonably secure even as time goes by and Opera 9.27 gets older, but I don't want to be using it if it leaves a gaping hole ! Thanks. |

Upgrading Opera is possible. Download the "static QT" RPM:
http://www.opera.com/download/get.pl?id=...sub=marine Then navigate to where the Opera RPM is located in the file manager, press F4, and run: Code: suI'm working on TinyMe 2009, and I should have the first Unity-based alpha out soon.
