Laptop locks up while Synaptics is applying the changes.
I am using TinyMe 2008.0 on an older Toshiba Tecra 8100 PIII 600 laptop and I was doing an upgrade with Synaptic.
Clicked on "reload" then "mark all upgrades" then "apply". It downloaded all of the packages and about one third to halfway through applying the changes the laptop does a hard lock up. |

Did you ever resolve this? I am also having problems with my similar 8100. In my case synaptic took about 3 attempts to download all the updates then said that the last three were unavailable. I applied the 476 I had downloaded and everything seemed to go OK, but now it doesn't seem to be detecting my ethernet card. Any help from another 8100 user would be appreciated. |
