Fishing for Site Suggestions
Hey guys,
What would you like to see added to the site? Specifically, I'm looking at the Wiki and wondering what else I should put up in terms of documentation. What would you guys like to see? Please check the Release Announcement before reporting any issues! Please read the Usage Rules before posting! Check out the FAQ!

Re: Fishing for Site Suggestions
Some basic documentation about terminal use would be nice, for those of us that are new. Simple commands that get used every now and again?
Don't know any specific ones that might be useful on the page, though. Maybe a little explainatation about some of the systems components? (UI, for example. how to get basic changes done.) it's something everyone probably picks up on their own, but for a first time user it might be a little harder (for example how you have to right click and drag desktop icons). the filemanager can act as a desktop manager. how to change cursor themes(which, i still cant get working xD), etc. Utopia Politics & General Talk. Not for the faint of heart. |

Oh allso I think you could add to the wiki the how-tos I made on tinyusers.co.cc .

Bigbear has some great commandline tips and tricks in the LPI study section of the BEL forum http://www.pclosbe.org/belbb/viewforum.php?f=49 I have already used them (after translating and obtaining his OK) for a Dutch 50+ linuxusergroup, excellent stuff ! |

Re: Fishing for Site Suggestions
I noticed on a different LCD monitor earlier that the forum really seemed to lack contrast, but I don't see that issue at all on my laptop. Regardless, you can go into your profile, under "look and layout preferences", and enable a different theme.
