TinyMe, pppDialer, and BestData 56k SERIAL modem
Howdy and Happy Thanksgiving Day to all from Atlanta GA!
I've successfully installed TinyMe and Puppy 0.4 (dual boot, Thank you GRUB!) on Presario P3 with 190 Mb memory.
I'm online now using PupDial:WvDial and BestData 56K serial modem in Puppy.
I would like to get TinyMe online using the ppp dialer and the serial modem.

How do I get TinyMe to detect the serial modem or ppp dial to use the serial modem?
Is there another way to get TM online using DialUp?

Any help would be great.
Did I mention that I think TM is visually Bea-U-ti-ful!?

Thanks,
Cleveland

Welcome. I know some people succeeded to make their dialup connections work, through gnomeppp. Unfortunately I can't help you here as I don't have dialup. You could install wvdial from synaptic or any similar software, and try to make your connection.

I too have dialup. So before downloading this .iso it would be nice if gnome-ppp was already installed, gnome-ppp requires wvdial and gnome-ppp 'setup' button has a detect button that identifies your modem. I know it does for me as I have an external so /dev/ttyS0

So does tinyme come with gnome-ppp, wvdial and pppd ?
