any ideas about what I can do?

I have enabled all the repositories available in synaptic. Are the any others I should add?

Enabling all the repositories is exactly why you're getting all those issues! TinyMe is set up just the way it should be. I just created a post here:

viewtopic.php?f=27&t=270

Hopefully it should help you get Compiz-Fusion installed.

RE: I would like to try compiz-fusion
Hello, KDulcimer -

PastorEd here... I used to be pretty active in the PCLOS community, and then started working on TinyMe for a while. (my studies took over, however)

anyway, I seem to remember that a few years ago, I'd uploaded a forum post to remind me HOW I'd done a stand-alone version of Compiz-Fusion with LXpanel. It basically looked like LXDE on steroids, it was low on resources for a 3D desktop...

...but I can't remember how I did it, and I can't find any sign of that old post. I even checked the "old forum", but with no joy.

Please refresh my memory... DID I post something like that here, in the older forum?

Honestly, I don't recall if you did or not. But I believe you could start compiz via Openbox's ~/.config/openbox/autostart.sh file.
