How do you use TinyMe?

Re: How do you use TinyMe?
I run it in my garage computer, Dell Dimension 4100, originally had windows 2000, at Pentium III at 866Mhz, 512RAM, with 20G HD.  It is very snappy with TinyMe.

I use it only as a music source to test the DIY speakers I build for fun.  I have a cheap amp hooked up and I use the computer to play the flac files using audacious, with old SB Live card.  Works great.

I thought I was the only one with a garage computer......I use mine running wireless for streaming music when I'm out there doing stuff.
I'm running an HP Vectra PIII 1GHz with 256Mb ram and a pair of 10 gig hard drives. I dual boot with Win2K and TinyMe with the latter being the primary OS on that box. The other computers I have running at this time in the household run PCLOS as primary OS.

Re: How do you use TinyMe?
I bought a small, light weight laptop to take on motorcycle trips with me from eBay a couple years ago. It's an IBM X20, 12", 3lbs,  Celeron 500, 320 RAM. The machine is perfect for what I use it for, but was terribly slow running a KDE OS (PCLOS Minime 2008).

I actually bought it with the intention of loading TinyMe, but TinyMe was still beta releases at the time, so I loaded MiniMe, and waited for the TinyMe distribution release. Now with TinyMe installed and configured, I couldn't be happier!! My Intel Pro 10/100 PCMCIA card worked right out of the box. I also have a Linksys PC54G Wifi card with a Broadcom 43xx chipset. I downloaded the bcm43xx firmware from the PCLOS repository before I plugged in the wifi card, and that also works, works very well in fact.

Thank you to all who contribute to this fantastic OS!! TinyMe has turned this old, slow laptop into a fast, reliable system!!

RE: How do you use TinyMe?
I use TinyMe as the main/only OS on my ol' laptop. Been using it for a while now.

On my main PC, I built a Debian 'testing' with Openbox WM and NO desktop environment.
